Renting out Your Home During the Wimbledon Tennis Championships

SunnyBay Lettings have some prospective tennis clients including players, coaches, media, and sponsors who may be interested in renting your property for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

We are actively seeking additional properties to let including houses, apartments and home stays to meet an ever increasing demand. To meet our criteria, your property must be within easy walking distance of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) or Wimbledon Village.

The service we provide is to introduce you to the tenants, set up/conduct viewings, vetting, inventory check in and check out, and drawing up contracts. Our short term letting fee is 15% (inc. VAT).

The rental price that can be achieved is based on each individual property and is dependant on the location, amenities available, number of bedrooms and showers, and the style and decor of the property. Whether you have a house or an apartment to let or would like to host a home stay visitor on a bed and breakfast basis during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the suitability of your property.

Letting your property:

1.) Fire safety requirements in the UK for self-catering property, owners must carry out a fire safety risk assessment. You can do this yourself or use the services of a professional (contact your local Fire and Rescue Service or insurance company for recommendations). The assessment must identify fire hazards and reduce or remove these risks. A record must be kept of actions taken and the assessment regularly reviewed.

2.) Energy Performance Certificate: properties that are let for at least 20 weeks a year are required to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

3.) Gas Safety checks must be carried out annually by a British Gas or CORGI registered fitter. Homeowners are required to keep a written record of inspections and display a copy of the record in the premise.
